The founder's story
From the dining table to a team of three
My journey in accountancy started 21 years ago, but it hasn't all been numbers and tax returns. Along the way I also qualified and opened my own hair and beauty salon. I have built and run my own business, not just advised other people about theirs, and that makes all the difference in how I work with clients today.
CKM Accounting began on my dining table with a single client and a stubborn conviction: bookkeeping shouldn't be a source of anxiety. Too many founders were drowning in receipts, putting off their returns, and making big decisions blind to their real numbers. I wanted to change that.
That first client turned into a few, then a few more, and word spread. Eight years into running the practice, I took on a team in 2025, and today we are a team of three. We've helped more than 100 businesses get, and stay, organised, growing carefully and keeping the personal touch that made our first clients recommend us to their friends.
Now we offer full-service bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and advisory, all delivered by a team that genuinely cares about the people behind the numbers. I've sat where you sit, so I know your numbers are more than numbers. They are your livelihood, and I treat them that way.

Charlee
Founder & Director
Charlee leads the practice and works hands-on with Partner clients. With 21 years in accountancy and her own experience building businesses, she brings a genuinely commercial perspective to your numbers.
Dan
Accountant & Director
Dan completes year-end accounts and tax returns, and as a client manager he also looks after the day-to-day bookkeeping for his clients. Like all of us at CKM, he explains everything in a jargon-free, plain English way, so you always understand what your numbers mean.
Kia
Client Manager
Kia is also one of our dedicated client managers, keeping bookkeeping on track, chasing the details that matter, and answering questions on the group WhatsApp. Friendly and reassuringly on top of things, she makes sure nothing slips through the cracks and you always know where you stand.
